August 18, 2019 7:18 am

The Catholic Women’s League has been urged to keep their strategic direction inclusive of the diversity that exist within the group.

While officiating at the Catholic Women’s League Annual gathering, Women’s Minister Mereseini Vuniwaqa says its crucial to concentrate on different ages groups and not only across socio-economic back grounds.

Vuniwaqa says in most cases, young women continue to be excluded from memberships and this should not be the case in the Catholic Women’s League.

“I would encourage the leadership of the CWL to consider the establishment of a young women’s chapter of the League which could become a strong advocate for the values of the CWL through programs and initiatives which are meaningful to the younger generation of your membership.”

Catholic Women’s League President Maria Viani says they will take this on aboard in ensuring that no one is left behind.

Viani says the increasing number of violence against women in societies is also a major topic of discussion during the 4-day meeting.

The meeting ends today.
