People intending to work as care givers locally and abroad can now have formal qualification, thanks to Australia Pacific Technical College.
APTC opened its new office in Suva this morning to accommodate courses on health and community services training center.
Acting Australian High Commissioner Glen Miles says there is an urgent need to ensure that people with disabilities have access to the full range of services.
“This is the first course and I was just speaking to the students who are pioneers, but it’s a much needed area throughout the Pacific and throughout Australia to train people, so they’ve got the skills and qualifications to work with people with disabilities.”
The new centre will offer programmes on community and health services.
