Women entrepreneurs who are involved in small scale businesses are taking part in a Capacity Building Workshop to learn new ways to boost their business.
Minister for Women, Mereseini Vuniwaqa says the women will be empowered socially, economically and politically.
She says the entrepreneurs will also be equipped with the updated market data.
“It enables them to access such services which they were not able to access before, there’s also a component on domestic violence, their rights in relation to being protected under domestic violence act.”
Vuniwaqa says appropriate framework needs to be created so that women are guided and given the tools to allow them to take risks of entrepreneurship.
More than a hundred female entrepreneurs from the Central and Eastern Divisions are attending the workshop in Suva.
