Many people battling cancer have suffered a lot in silence but they need constant contact, visits and show of national support.

Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation Minister –Dr Jiko Luveni says cancer patients need constant generosity as cancer can be cured but treatment is still very expensive.

Dr Luveni says many people lack the means and facilities to access treatment so they are traumatized daily; having to live with the realities of hopelessness and loss of loved ones.

Fiji’s largest Morning Tea to support the cancer patients was hosted by the Ministry this morning.
