It’s important for all political parties to remove banners and posters before midnight tonight when the electoral blackout period begins.
The 48 hour campaign blackout period will begin from 12am until the midnight Tuesday.
Party President Pio Tikoduadua told FBC News they will spend the last 24 hours putting down their banners and billboards around the country preparing for the blackout period as it’s vital for them to abide by the law.
”We have been guided by the law and you know we have to do a blackout on Sunday so we putting down our banners you know confirming to the laws and the laws would suggest.”
Meanwhile, SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka during their last rally in Nausori yesterday conveyed a similar sentiment calling on their supporters to respect the law.
He also advised his supporters and his political opponents to accept whatever the result will be when a new government is confirmed post-poll.
