CacaoFiji beans wins Silver at Academy of Chocolate Awards

CacaoFiji has won the Silver award for the Bean to Bar Milk category at the prestigious Academy of Chocolate Awards which was in held in London.

The company submitted its Soma Chocolate Vanua Milk for the awards and this is the first time Fiji cocoa beans participated in the awards.

A record-breaking 1,200 entries have been judged at the 2018 Awards.

The entries, made up of chocolate produced in more than 45 countries, included a significant increase in chocolate made by smaller producers – reflecting growing awareness of the origin, craft and sustainability of real chocolate.

CacaoFiji is the largest exporter of Fiji origin cacao beans and exports to USA, Canada, France, New Zealand and Australia.

In 2015, the company was recognized as the top 50 beans at the International Cocoa Awards and has been working with farmers to revive the industry since.
