Businesses expect tax incentives

The Fiji Business Forum is hoping that the 2016 Budget will have a simplified income Tax laws.

Speaking to FBC News, Fiji Business Forum Chairman Alvin Maharaj says these will reduce the cost of doing business.

“If things are made simpler then there’s bound to be more investment from micro, small businesses and it’s easier to understand for them as well those people who are new to doing business and we need to focus a lot on SME’s as well as micro to boost the economy in the rural areas and small town and so forth.”

Maharaj says they are also hoping for reforms that will continue the growth of various businesses.

With only a month to go for the Budget announcement, various businesses are looking forward to tax incentives to further develop and improve our economy.
