The mechanic for Suva based Citiline Buses will be taken in by Police for questioning.

This is after he was repairing the bus along Milverton Road in Suva yesterday evening after facing mechanical failure on its last trip at the Raiwaqa 7 route.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms the bus started rolling before it hit a parked car on the road and rolled down a steep hill, just a few metres from a home.

Speaking to FBC News last night, home owner Nardeep Kumar says they’re lucky no lives were lost during the incident.

The vehicle has been taken in for examination.
