Bus Industry Consultation picks momentum

The consultation exercise carried out by the Independent Bus Fare Review Committee to review the bus industry is gaining momentum.

Committee Chair, Joel Abraham says Fijians are taking the consultations seriously and bringing forth submissions with substance.

“Through emails we have received over four hundred submissions, through the texting platform we’ve cross five thousand one hundred messages and we also got hand-written submissions that have come through the post amount twenty of those.”

Abraham says the texting platform for submissions is taking the lead with over five thousand submission received in five days.

The nationwide face-to-face consultations have been carried out in the Western and Northern division and is currently on-going in Nasinu at this hour until 7pm.

After which the Committee will move to Suva tomorrow and then to the final consultation at Nausori’s Syria Park on Wednesday.

However, other platforms such as sending a text to 336, emailing at [email protected] or posting in submissions are available if you’ve missed out on the face-to-face consultations.
