July 13, 2016 1:31 am

The Fiji Buses Operators Association is urging bus drivers to follow their code of conduct and provide the best service to the public.

This message comes in light of a number of complaints by members of the public that some drivers are rude and behave unprofessionally.

Association President, Pramod Chand says drivers must learn to show good and acceptable behaviour while serving the public as this is what the bus industry is all about.

_"Very important for all the drivers to adhere to the codes of conducts, indeed the driver should continue to read it, mediate on it as it should be part of their life because they are bus drivers you are serving the public and I must say the drivers learn to be polite, they must learn to accommodate the passengers because this is a business and this is a service industry-we are serving the people and we should all be good."

Pramod is advising all bus operators around the country to provide bus services according to their time table and ensure buses stop at designated stops or stations.
