Bus drivers must follow timetable: LTA

July 9, 2016 7:56 pm

The Land Transport Authority is reminding bus operators to provide services according to their timetable and to stop at designated stops that come under their route.

Chief Executive Naisa Tuinaceva says they have received complaints from the public against bus drivers who are not following their code of conduct.

“It’s not only about running the service, it’s about ensuring that the service is given, the passengers are well looked after in any part of the trip along that particular route. If the bus is full it is the responsibility of the company to provide another bus to cater for the rest of the public and they should continue with the journey up to the end of the trip.”

Tuinaceva says they will not hesitate to suspend or terminate bus operators’ permits.
