Bullets found in Lautoka belong to RFMF: Kalouniwai

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has confirmed the bullets which were found in Lautoka last week belongs to them.

Chief of Staff Brigadier-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai has confirmed they discovered the bullet, which belonged to the RFMF during the investigation.

A bag containing ammunition was found on May 18th along the Navula Road in Lautoka by a 54-year-old man.

The bullets were in a garbage bag containing a pouch with 1×30 rounds and two loose calibre 5.56mm bullets and the 54 year man reported the matter to Police after he found it.

Brigadier General Kalouniwai has also confirmed that none of the military armory has been reported missing from any of their bases.

The investigation continues.
