Bribery case adjourned to December

A former Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority employee who is charged with a bribery-related offence appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.

Jone Vula is alleged to have accepted an advantage of five hundred dollars from a businessman in Suva, while performing his duty as a tax investigator.

The alleged offence occurred in March last year.

Magistrate Neil Rupasinghe has adjourned the case to the 4th of December, because Vula’s file was not brought before him to court this morning.

Vula has been released on bail.
