A Year 5 student was allegedly electrocuted at Viwawa in Navua yesterday afternoon.

It is believed that a heavy goods truck while offloading gravel touched a loose electrical live wire on the ground.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the child died after he allegedly stepped on the wire while discharging goods from the truck.

Police investigation continues.
