Good news for 48 staff at the Public Rental Board as they received their 2016 bonus and salary increment today.

While announcing the news, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says $30, 317.95 is the total payout for the bonus while $10, 590.21 is for the salary increment.

“Some may think that’s it’s not a big amount, in fact, it is, given in particular the level of the rental collection that PRB has been achieving and that is reflective on the fact that there needs to be more work done.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says staff individual performances are being recognized.

“We also recognize the fact that in PRB, there has been a need to recognize and indeed be able to benchmark the salaries that exist in PRB compared to other members in the private sector.”

He says for administrative staff, their salary has gone up by more than 50%.

Meanwhile, PRB had their last bonus payout in 2015.
