The body of a man in his 50s was found floating in the FSC River in Rakiraki yesterday afternoon.

Police says the victim was with a friend when he left to relieve himself by the river.

When he failed to return, his friend who is also in his 50s went to look for him and found him floating in the river.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
