A body of a 2-year-old girl was found in a creek near Sawani village, Nausori this morning.

Police say the victim was reported missing by her father last night.

A search conducted proved negative and at first light the search resumed, where her body was discovered in a creek.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death as investigation continues.
