A body was discovered by a team of police officers along the Bulileka Road at FSC Labasa at around 2 early this morning.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra says the team were on roadblock duties when they received the information.

Mishra says the victim is believed to have been allegedly hit by an unknown vehicle.

The victim was conveyed to the Labasa Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are calling on for any information which could help identify the victim.
