This has been highlighted by Fiji’s Consul General and Trade Commissioner to New Zealand Zarak Khan during a reception to welcome Trade Minister Premila Kumar leading a team to a three-day Fijian Investment mission.

Khan says the huge contribution has been proven by the Commission showcasing and facilitating trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.

In response, the Trade Minister says there are very ambitious Fijians in all sectors putting forward ideas and launching new businesses every year.

She says it’s their duty to give these entrepreneurs the confidence and the opportunity to market their products on all shelves across New Zealand and also launch their services in the Kiwi market.

Meanwhile, as part of the mission, the Trade Minister met with a number of potential New Zealand investors as well as current businesses.
