Bhatnagar applauds government budget

The increase in the budget of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services by $11.3m clearly shows the government’s commitment towards improving services in Fiji.

Assistant Minister for Health Veena Bhatnagar made this comment in Parliament today.

“It is also a clear indication of the government’s clear and undivided and compromised intention to invest in the health of our people so that we may cultivate longevity and as alluded to by the Minister for Finance a people that is healthier, stronger and free from preventable diseases.”

Bhatnagar says she believes this will boost productivity and productivity is all spheres in ones life.

She applauded the government’s substantial investment and upgrades of new hospitals and its efforts to support maternal health by improving maternity units particularly those in Makoi, Ba, Keiasi, Nausori and Rotuma.
