Fiji Seven’s coach Ben Ryan has been awarded the Companion of the Order of Fiji for his part in securing an Olympic gold medal for Fiji.

This is the highest national award given by the Order of Fiji.

The Fiji 7s players including Savenaca Rawaca received the Officer of the Order of Fiji along with thirty thousand dollar cash prizes.

President Konrote as the Chancellor of the Order presented the awards himself.

The President also called on fans to not forget rugby legend Waisale Serevi during their celebrations as he played a crutial role in the inclusion of 7’s rugby in the Olympic Games.
