Behavior of motorists a concern for FRA

The Fiji Roads Authority is concerned about behaviors of some motorists on our roads.

FRA General Manager of Operations and Maintenance, Aram Goes says behaviors like parking carelessly and not following road rules and signs has contributed greatly to traffic congestion around the country.

”The behavior of drivers parking in yellow and no parking areas and drivers parking on disabled parking spaces and drivers putting their vehicle in pretty obvious positions that will affect of the traffic flows.”

Goes says motorists continue to ignore road signs and this could cause road accidents.

He adds they’re working together with LTA and municipal councils to ensure motorists adhere to road rules for the safety of other road users.
