Be tolerant to each culture: Akbar

Fijians should always ensure to be tolerant to each other’s culture in order to allow the country to prosper says Health Minister Rosy Akbar.

While officiating at the Namaste Pacifika in Suva last night, Akbar said considering Fiji is a multicultural society it is important to always show respect for someone else’s cultural.

The Minister said the Government is doing its part to ensure everyone is part of the society and that no one is felt left out.

She adds the Government is determined to ensure no one is discriminated on any grounds.

Meanwhile, the Namaste Pacifika showcased a night of classical dance from the State of Odisha in India.

The dancer were from the Meera Das Group who will also be performing in Tonga, Vanuatu and Kiribati.

The Namaste Pacifika a platform to cultivate unity and promote multiculturalism.

This program, commemorated in line with India achieving 70 years of freedom on the 15th August 2017.
