He adds being a supplier, Basic Industries Limited saw potential in modular homes.

“We’re also talking to the banks to get a home loan package. So we will give you the home loan, you have a land, we will come with the money, we will come with the material and we will build the house.”

Fareed explains modular homes will not only be affordable and is expected to be up in two months.

The new service started following Cyclone Winston with the high demands for homes especially in the rural areas.

Basic Industries Limited is also working with the Lands Ministry to identify land for construction of homes.
