Basic Homes brings modular construction

October 19, 2017 5:30 pm

Basic Industries Limited has remodelled its services now providing not only cement blocks but construction of homes.

Now known as Basic Homes, the company will construct modular homes at their factory in Vatuwaqa before installation on site.

Basic Homes is a subsidiary of Fijian Holdings Limited and its Group Chief Executive, Nouzab Fareed says the demands for home ownership has grown drastically.

He adds being a supplier, Basic Industries Limited saw potential in modular homes.

“We’re also talking to the banks to get a home loan package. So we will give you the home loan, you have a land, we will come with the money, we will come with the material and we will build the house.”

Fareed explains modular homes will not only be affordable and is expected to be up in two months.

The new service started following Cyclone Winston with the high demands for homes especially in the rural areas.

Basic Industries Limited is also working with the Lands Ministry to identify land for construction of homes.
