Despite not being able to attend the Queens Young Leaders Award ceremony, Alisha Bano will still receive her award.

Bano told FBC News that the organizers have informed her that she will receive her award with the next year’s batch of recipients.

She was not able to attend her awards ceremony scheduled for last night at Buckingham Palace due to continued delays of her flight from Nadi to Australia then to London.

Bano says she will raise this issue with the authorities.

“I’m planning to write a letter to their CEO, Ministry of Tourism, PM’s office and I want to copy that to the media houses.”

Bano was also scheduled to visit the BBC and Twitter Headquarters as well as meet the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
