Bainimarama unhappy with SODELPA

July 22, 2019 4:50 pm

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu could be immediately axed if he was a member of FijiFirst.

Bainimarama made this comment while speaking on Radio Fiji One program “Noda PM” responding to the Vulagi comments by Bulitavu and Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

Bulitavu’s social media post continues to receive stiff criticism and Bainimarama says, it was disappointing that SODELPA is using such words to bring disunity among the people.

The Prime Minister says that if he had a party member who did what Bulitavu says, he as a leader would not spare that person but be removed from the party.

He also says that Ro Teimumu Kepa’s comment was only a cover-up and her along with other SODELPA members should know that no one is a vulagi as we are all Fijians under the constitution.

The Prime Minister also says it is indeed sad to see that none from SODELPA condemned what Bulitavu posted on his social media page about women.

He adds that Ro Teimumu seems confused as one time she would be using the word Luvedra Na Momo and now she is supportive of the vulagi comment.

Fijifirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has always maintained his principled position against racism.
