Bainimarama promises to meet peoples needs

Prime Minster-elect Voreqe Bainimarama has promised to meet the needs of ordinary people with a renewed vigor.

Bainimarama predicts that the current economic growth will have an even further growth and says he will use this growth to improve services, create more jobs for youths and continue to build more and better infrastructure.

He added that the next phase for the reforms will include the streamlining, professionalizing and making the civil service more efficient.

“I intend in the new parliament to provide service to every Fijian in every part of the country. We have a vision for a modern prosperous and inclusive Fiji and we intend to achieve it.”

In his victory speech, Bainimarama says this is the day history will record that as a nation Fijians embraced a new future.
