Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has expressed his gratitude to world leaders for their willingness to embrace the Pacific way of dialogue.
Speaking during the closing of the Global Climate Action Summit Talanoa on “a rapid transition to a net-zero emissions society” – how do we get there? –
Bainimarama thanked those present for their contributions.
Bainimarama says these dialogues will result in decisive action that is intended to be taken to COP24 in Poland in December.
He adds the world can follow this example of dialogue and start appreciating the extent of the challenges faced by those affected.
The Prime Minister also highlights this platform has allowed them to exchange ideas on how leaders can work to meet challenges and find a comprehensive solution.
The Talanoa Stories Campaign launched last month has gathered more than a thousand stories relating to climate change worldwide.
