Bainimarama advise chiefs

March 23, 2012 7:05 pm

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has advised chiefs to concentrate on re-engaging with their people and not to follow laws which are insignificant to their traditional duty.

Bainimarama says most chiefs seem to concentrate too much on the abolishment of the Great Council Chiefs.

He says it’s time chiefs re-look at how they can build a good relationship with their people so they can bring back the traditional way of living which is slowly disappearing.
