The Vatuwaqa Bailey Bridge traffic signal is currently not operational.

Fiji Roads Authority Traffic Engineer Musheer Khan says they are trying the best to restore it as quickly as possible, however they will need to replace the faulty components which needs to be sourced from overseas.

Khan says therefore an inherent delay is expected.

He says that they are also looking at air freighting portable traffic signals to ease the situation in any further failures in future.

Fulton Hogan Hiways is managing traffic along the Vatuwaqa Bridge from 4:00am to 9:00pm daily to minimize any traffic congestion and provide a safe passage for all motorists.
