The bail hearing of a forty-year-old man of Navua who allegedly abducted and allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in July this year, will be heard at the end of this month.

The man is charged with one count of rape, one count of wrongful confinement and one count of abduction.

It is alleged that he raped the girl on July 21st and the man was arrested by police the next day.

The state informed the court this morning that the man has a previous conviction recorded in 2010 and has a pending case in Navua.

The matter has been adjourned to 28th August.
