Bail extended for FNU student

A 22 year old Fiji National University student charged with damaging property had his bail extended this afternoon.

The court heard that on May 25, 2012, Michael Tukana while under the influence of alcohol took a taxi from his Toorak home to Dragon night club and refused to pay his taxi fare.

The driver called police and two officers escorted him home where his father paid for the fare.

At home he challenged the police officers and in the process tore their uniform.

Each shirt cost $27.00.

The case has been adjourned to July 31, 2012 for full disclosures.
