She allegedly had faked a pregnancy and asked her partner to drop her off because she was in labour before spending several hours roaming the hospital’s birthing ward and seizing a baby in January this year.

Hospital staff had noted her behaviour and called police after she carried the baby into the hospital car park.

Narayan will be sentenced on October 26.
