Police have confirmed that an autopsy will be carried out today on 17 year old, Queensland student, Harrison Kadell.

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says Kadell’s body is being kept at the Lautoka hospital.

Kadell was part of a group of students from St Thomas Catholic College in Brisbane, who were at Plantation Resort in the Mamanucas to celebrate their graduation this week.

He reportedly drowned early yesterday morning.

Kadell’s parents are here to try and find answers and to take their son’s body back home.

It is still unclear what happened, but Kadell’s body was found floating in the resort’s swimming pool.

Police are investigating the incident.
