A panel discussion at the CEOs Forum organised by Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority has heard of the need for companies and agencies to work together.
Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association president, Dixon Seeto says regulatory authorities need to be shown the exact extent of policies that would help the industry move forward.
“We won a very critical case on credit card surcharge where for a year we were going nowhere. We argued with all the best reasons it should happen as it is a global practice but the minute we showed that the tax department and the Government was losing so many millions of dollars in taxation we got it through in one week.”
The Forum attracted CEOs from various organisations and stakeholders to discuss compliance and strengthening of partnership.
