Sydney Morning Herald reports it was initially suspected that Clarke had passed away due to typhoid; however blood tests revealed that the disease was not the cause of her death.

Clarke’s family is now trying to raise money to help fly her back to Australia.

Questions have been sent to the Health and Medical Services Ministry.
