Girls living in the Pearly Gates Home in Nasese were given a new lease of life today as members of the Australian Defence Force turned up to do renovation works at their homes.
Teaming up with the Fiji Military Forces, the Australian soldiers brought smiles to the girls by building a new deck for them.
An Australian Defence Force personnel Casey Green says as part of their community work, the Australian Defence Force took time out of their busy schedule today to do repair work at the Pearly Gates Home.
“Today we came from as ship arrived this morning to help build the deck for the girls at the front, the boys and the girls helped out by cutting the wood and building it and hammering it altogether.”
RFMF, Commander Viliame Naupoto says the work carried out will go a long way in benefitting the girls.
Members of the Australian Defense Force are in Fiji for a key leadership engagement and at the same time providing training sessions for the RFMF.
