The Australian Border Force is ready to assist the Fiji Immigration Department as they are currently undergoing operational reforms.

Australian Border Force Commander James Watson says there is a border assistance package that Fiji can benefit from.

With the recent signing of the Vuvale partnership between Australia and Fiji, border security is an area of focus for both countries.

Watson says this a comprehensive approach that will include the deployment of trainers to improve Fiji’s surveillance at various ports of entry.

The partnership between the two border agencies will also assist the two countries to disrupt those carrying out illegal activities on our seas.
