Australia willing to work with private sector

Australia’s Minister for International Development and the Pacific Steven Ciobo says his government is here to support the private sector.

He was addressing the Fiji Australia Business Council during a short visit to Suva.

Ciobo says the Pacific Humanitarian Challenge is an example of how important the private sector is to Australia.

“Our focus is upon working with the private sector not exclusively obviously there’s still a huge role for NGOs and government delivery but we want the private sector involved as much as possible.”

Ciobo says the private sector can help the Australian government deliver the results its after, especially in the Pacific region.
