Miles says the Australian Government is committed to repairing 59 flood-damaged schools, so that affected children can return to school and their communities can recover sooner.

He adds they are pleased that they have been able to assist in the repair work at the school to enable resumption of classes for the 300 students.

Australia has also praised the Ministry of Education and the Australian Agency for International Development, AusAID, for their quick response to the floods, and their support for students, teachers and schools.
