Audit conducted at Natures Way

August 12, 2015 7:00 pm

An audit has been carried out at Natures Way Cooperative Fiji Limited after New Zealand’s Primary Industry Ministry imposed a ban on the export of four Fijian commodities.

Public Enterprises Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the audit was carried out by the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji officials.

“That has been carried out in the past few days. We will address some of those issues that we have raised – there is an issue of Natures Way perhaps needing to ensure that regular maintenance is carried out of the heating facility so we have also established that.”

The Fijian government is hopeful ban will be lifted soon as they had a fruitful meeting with New Zealand MPI officials in Nadi yesterday.

Natures Way Cooperative Fiji Limited provides mandatory quarantine treatment of export products like eggplants, papaya, breadfruits and mangoes.
