Opposition MP Niko Nawaikula’s dire trite in trying to demean the operations of the Fiji National Provident Fund on Social media has been slammed by Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

In Nawaikula’s official Facebook page, he claimed the government has molested FNPF and it should return its operations to the people who own it.

However, Sayed-Khaiyum says Nawaikula completely misinterpreted the facts that were debated in parliament.

“I think because of the battering they received last night with all the facts he went on in his dire trait on FNPF on Facebook completely misconceived and I urged the members to read what he has posted about FNPF, he is not talking  about whether they have the financial instrument or not.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says this is the kind of postulating that takes place within the Opposition that has a detrimental impact on the financial status of the country.
