PAFCO Board Director Iqbal Janiff has revealed that there have been several attempts to move the company from Levuka to Suva.

Speaking during a talanoa session with workers Janiff says despite these attempts by both local and foreign businesses, they will remain loyal to the people of Ovalau and PAFCO will stay in Levuka.

Janiff says the onus is on workers to work hard so that the company remains financially stable and continues to provide employment opportunities for the people in the Lomaiviti province.

“As long as the company can make a profit and can exist without making a loss the company will remain in Levuka, if the company cannot make a profit then why would the company operate.”

With the numerous new developments at PAFCO, Janiff says the company is expected to do well in the future.
