Police are looking for four suspects who attempted to rob the Aerotown Mobil Service Station in Nadi on Monday morning.
Five masked men allegedly threatened a security officer and a cashier and attempted to steal the cash register containing $500.
Police Chief of Intelligence, ACP Henry Brown says a team of police officers who had been gathering intelligence on the planned robbery confronted the masked men whereby a police officer was injured after stones and broken bottles were thrown at them.
A suspect was arrested at the scene and is under police guard at the Nadi Hospital.
The remaining four fled in a rental vehicle which was later found abandoned at Denarau Road.
The group was believed to have been planning a series of robberies and the investigation team has managed to gather information about their identities as an investigation continues.
