Dividends have dropped for the shareholders of the Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited group of companies.
Fintel Chief Executive George Samisoni revealed this at the ATH’s annual general meeting.
Samisoni says currently there are a number of significant investments in the Pacific and they are hoping for a profitable return in years to come.
“The dividends may have decreased slightly but in the next four or five years the benefits will come back to the shareholders with all these investments that has been going on in the Pacific.”
Meanwhile, ATH and its group of companies, Vodafone Fiji Limited, Telecom Fiji Limited and Fiji International Telecommunications Limited have recorded an interim and unaudited consolidated net profit after tax and minority interest of $15.8 million for the first quarter of this year.
