The Fiji Mountaineering and Climbing Association plans to raise funds and provide scholarships to underprivileged children.

President, Savneel Sangeet, says they will be hosting a walk in the South and North of New Zealand to raise fund for scholarships.

“Scholarships are in forms of bags, schools uniforms, books, stationery and things like that. So this will be advertised in the papers and we will have a special team under the Fiji mountaineering foundation which will focus entirely on Charity of the association which will interview students and parents, see their financial background and their difficulties and eventually before school begins, we will be able to release this supplies.”
