Defence lawyer Akuila Naco applied for bail saying that all six have yet to be served with full disclosures from police.

However the lawyer representing the Director of Public Prosecution objected, saying it’s a serious case and the 6 should remain in custody.

Naco informed the court that the men have been in custody for some time and therefore they should be given bail.

Meanwhile in court this afternoon Shu Kong collapsed inside the courthouse and had to be escorted outside by police and taken to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

No plea was taken and the case has been adjourned to Friday.
