Ariff Ali appointed as new chair for FRA board

The Fiji Roads Authority has appointed Ariff Ali as the new chair of its board.

FRA Chief Executive, Jonathan Moore says Ali replaces Dinesh Patel, who had come to the end of his term.

Moore says Ali who is the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji has a wealth of experience from his leadership roles.

He adds Ali’s insight will help the FRA to achieve an efficient transportation network – which is critical for national development.

As Governor, Ali is the chair of the RBF Board, Monetary Policy Committee, Macroeconomic Committee, Capital Markets Development Taskforce, National Financial Inclusion Taskforce and Secured Transactions Taskforce.

He is also a member of the Council of the Fiji Institute of Bankers and the National Anti-Money Laundering Council.

Ali is the chair of the Government Tender Board, the Fiji Cane Growers Fund, the Accident Compensation Commission Fiji and a board member of the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited.
