Archbishop Cama is now Bishop of Polynesia

The new Archbishop of Polynesia, Bishop Fereimi Cama is ready to serve the Anglican Church in Fiji and the Pacific.

After the ordination ceremony yesterday at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Suva, he has been recognized as the first Fijian Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion including his Excellency the President Major General Ret’d Jioji Konrote and other religious representatives.

Bishop Cama says a collaborative approach is needed to move the church forward.

“I thank God for his call and the church for its encouragement.  God give me understanding in studying the scriptures.May they reveal to me the mind and heart of Christ and shape my ministry.”

He is the seventh Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Polynesia.
