Defence lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo appeared for Bulitavu and Karunaratne this morning and informed the court that he will be able to file submissions in ten days.

The state has been given ten days thereafter to respond to the submissions.

Bulitavu is serving two-years five months and thirteen days sentence while Karunaratne is serving a two-year five months and sixteen days’ sentence.

Bulitavu together with former businessman Karunaratne spray painted words in different places between Nausori and Suva with the seditious intention of bringing hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the Government.

The incidents occurred between the 1st and 27th August in 2011.
